Ann is first and foremost a people and portrait photographer - becoming fascinated, when travelling around the World, by the variety and structures of the human face, and the differing cultures to which they belong
A passionate traveller she has explored parts of the World including many parts of India, in the Far East she has travelled through Vietnam and Laos, the Indonesian Islands including Bali, The Middle East - Jordan, Israel, Syria and Lebanon, Central America - Mexico, Guatamala and Cuba, Morocco in North Africa, Georgia in the Caucusus, in Russia, Moscow and St Petersburg, and in Europe Venice and Lake Como in Italy, in Greece, The Pelopponese, and on to Corsica, and North Cyprus
Although photographing every aspect of a country, her main interest has always been culture, religion, art, and festivals - so it is not surprising that she finds the Glastonbury Festival equally compelling, and she photographs in exactly the same way as a festival in Bhutan or Ethiopia. An anthropological experience, with extreme examples of extreme behaviour where anything can and does happen. Recently she has also photographed the Majma Arabic and Belly Dance Festival in Glastonbury, and the now famous Glastonbury Goddess Worship Conference. The Somerset Carnivals are another favourite subject, as are the annual Christian Pilgrimages to Glastonbury Abbey
More recently she has become known for her Wedding Photography, bringing a more artistic and fresher look to the more traditional formal approach, specialising in Country House Weddings and Handfastings
Her Glastonbury Festival photographs have been published by the BBC, the Times, the New Statesman, Record Collector, and in brochures, programmes, environmental magazines, and advertising
Her travel images have appeared in National Geographic Adventure Magazine, Geographical Magazine, Travel Guides and educational books
